New Online Professional Learning Course for Primary School Teachers Starting in January!

We are pleased to announce our upcoming Professional Learning (PL) programme for primary school teachers happening this January!

This free programme aims to improve teachers’ knowledge of Computer Science and Computational Thinking and help them apply these skills in the classroom and across the school.

The sessions link with the DCF and work across the new curriculum’s AoLEs.

The 10 x virtual sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. The sessions are as follows:

Session 1 – 09/01/2025 – Introduction To Computer Science And Computational Thinking;

Session 2 – 16/01/2025 – Introduction To Algorithms;

Session 3 – 23/01/2025 – Introduction To Scratch Programming – Chase Game;

Session 4 – 30/01/2025 – Scratch Quiz;

Session 5 – 06/02/2025 – Scratch Maze Game;

Session 6 – 13/02/2025 – Scratch Shape Drawing Tool;

Session 7 – 20/02/2025 – Scratch Calculator;

Session 8 – 06/03/2025 – Introduction To Scratch Junior and Unplugged Activities;

Session 9 – 13/03/2025 – Introduction to BBC micro:bit;

Session 10 – 20/03/2025 – Scratch As A Problem Solving Tool.
