As part of the ongoing Welsh Government’s #StaySafeStayLearning initiative, Technocamps is pleased that it has been able to put its experience to good use.
The team has been working hard behind the scenes, to develop exciting and enriching opportunities for students in Years 12 and 13, as they begin to prepare for their transition into Higher Education. A variety of virtual activities are now available. These provide students with a taster of subject content delivered as part of university programmes for computer science.
Resources are now available on Hwb
The aim is to keep the Sixth form and Further Education students stimulated and motivated, facilitating a smoother transition between school/college and university learning.
Professor Faron Moller, Director of Technocamps and Professor of Computer Science at Swansea University said:
“It is imperative that students in Years 12 and 13 are looking to the future and preparing for their next steps within their education. I am pleased that Technocamps is offering virtual activities which can provide a stepping-stone for students aiming to study computer science and STEM-based qualifications at university. I would like to encourage all students to be proactive and take up some of the activities available.”
