We know that this is a very worrying time but we wanted to keep everyone updated as far as we can.  The Minister of Education in Wales, Kirsty Williams AM, issued a statement this week to inform everyone that schools would be officially closing “for statutory provision of education”.  Therefore, there will obviously be no face-to-face workshop activity taking place until we are given guidance from the government to return to normality. 

The team has been really active in the last few months with workshops taking place in schools across the country.  While it is a little sad that we cannot continue to run these, we are really excited about the new initiatives we are putting in place that will help pupils, parents, and teachers to maintain momentum and motivation.   

Our Schools Liaison Officer and our Regional Coordinators are continuing to monitor the situation and will contact schools to reschedule and rearrange workshops planned, with alternative dates offered to any school who has booked.  We are currently looking into ways in which we as a team, can support schools with the provisions that they are putting in place to maintain a semblance of normality for our children. 

Rest assured there’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes.  

We are working to develop resources to keep children motivated and their brains active through this difficult time. Our delivery team has developed some great worksheets, videos, and quizzes that can be accessed through our website by clicking on the following link:

We will be adding more resources as and when they are ready to go. 

Pupils are encouraged to work through the packs and submit their work to the team.  They will then be added to our Technocamps leaderboard with a chance to win a Sphero robot for their school as well as a £50 Amazon voucher for the top student.
