Business
We work with businesses and industry to create opportunities to ensure that the digital pipeline is generated locally, helping to provide high quality jobs and support the economy of Wales.
Digital upskilling across Wales is essential for the future economy. By working with us, you can help to ensure your talent pipeline is healthy and our economy thrives.
Institute of Coding Skills
Bootcamps
We run a number of programming skills courses that are entirely free for learners and will help you build your tech skills. We are working across all universities in Wales and the Open University to deliver these skills both virtually and in-person.
These professional development short courses are designed to help you build in-demand skills and knowledge to help you get ahead.
We work with companies across Wales including DVLA, Go Compare, Admiral, Institute of Coding and smaller businesses to deliver our BSc in Applied Software Engineering. This is a Welsh Government fully-funded Degree Apprenticeship programme that supports companies and individuals to upskill the workforce whilst in employment, and ensure staff skills are current and relevant.
Email Maria, our Business Liaison Officer, on m.moller@swansea.ac.uk to see how we can support you.

We are always looking to support career pathways for young people and we want to bridge the gap between subject and career.
In particular, we are keen to support young women into STEM careers by presenting role models that have already moved forward their career in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths.
Our Role Models encourage our younger audiences to consider a career in STEM by providing an insight into their own workplaces.

Women's Network
The aim of our WiST network is to establish connections between women working within the sector (technology in particular) with regular events to learn from each other’s experience in the workplace and to support and inspire those on an early career path.
We encourage members to get involved with the project and we offer opportunities for individuals, companies, and other organisations to engage with young people by developing a strong role-model network to support the work we do in schools.
